Simone Biles
A gymnast Simone Biles captured her 20th world championship gold medal when Team USA won its seventh consecutive world championship in Antwerp Belgium on October 4. She has won 33 medals and is among the top-ranked women in the history of gymnastics. This is not just the Olympics. A few days ago, Biles was able to land a difficult vault that no other woman did on a world arena. Biles II is now the name for the Yurchenko dual pike vault the vault was known previously as Yurchenko. At the end of her all-around event on the 6th October, this record-breaking gymnast will be competing in her first international competition following 2021. In 1997, within Columbus Ohio Simone was taken away from the home of her mother's birth father who was struggling with addiction. She was placed in foster care together with her three siblings. Ron, a retired Air Force vet and Nellie an experienced nurse who retired, looked after Simone aged just six years old. They also adopted their youngest sister Adria. Simone's great aunt took in her siblings.
